Sagrado is a gold-painted calabash shell mounted on an electric blue canvas whole, still, and commanding. Here, the calabash is the subject. Presented as it is. Given the wall it has always deserved.
The calabash has been on this island for over 1,500 years. It carried water before there were wells. It made music when drums were silenced. It fed generations before there were plates. Sagrado asks you to stand in front of all of that and simply feel it.
Gold on blue. Sacred and still.
